Digital Health Monitoring Benefits for Fitness Programs

I go out for jogging every day early in the morning. I have been doing it for the past 25 years with no problems at all. In fact, it has kept me healthy and fit for these years without any symptoms of diabetes, blood pressure, or the other health-related complications.  Last Sunday also I went out for jogging at the same time at 5:30. Usually, I go for two miles in the first round, take a break for 15 minutes and then jog for another 2 miles before returning home. I had a strange sensation of pressure building up within my chest. It soon shifted to my heart. I could not breathe normally and I felt the first signs of palpitation.

What Went Wrong

I went to consult my physician on the same day. He examined me completely and told me it was the sign of over-exhaustion. He advised me to stop jogging for the next seven days. He also told me to reduce the distance to two miles and take more breaks on the way. He said I was lucky that I consulted him on that day. If I had gone two days later, it would have resulted in a probable heart attack.

Unfortunately, I could not detect the symptoms earlier, because I had no monitoring device. So, I went out and bought a health monitoring watch on the same day. The digital monitoring device has been helping me in observing my heart rate, blood pressure, sugar level, calories, and other vital fluid levels in my body. I am glad that I can depend on the device for its accuracy and consistency.

Heart Rate Monitoring

Heart rate is a parameter which can vary during jogging. There are several stages of heart rate for the athletes to achieve. In the moderate level, it will be 30% of its maximum efficiency. It is the stage when the cardiovascular muscles relax and start getting pumped up for the next stage.

In the standard level, the heart rate will be 40%-45% of its standard value while jogging. It can gradually increase as you push the speed value to a higher level. Fluent and fast running can take the heart to 85%-90% of its maximum efficiency.  It is the time when stress starts to accumulate within the heart.

 The stress is good for a young and dynamic athlete who wants to improve his performance levels. He can increase the potential strength of his heart with consistent sprint running workouts. However, it may not be so healthy for a 55+ man like me, who is jogging to keep my fitness at a little above the normal level.

The digital tracking device gives me the warning when I cross the threshold limit. It allows me to set the minimum and maximum values for speed, acceleration, vertical inclination, heart rate per minute, calories burning per-minute, and other factors. The device can also track my sleeping cycles, calorie consumption, and other eating patterns.

A balanced approach to life is important to maintain a peaceful and healthy existence all the time.  Be it a student, a working executive or a homemaker, there needs to be a certain balance to the approach to life which otherwise can turn a person upside down.  Responsibilities are part of everyone’s life and often people do not give due weight for the need to be responsible for oneself and to each other.

The challenge is to balance our life and to ensure that everyone is given the due place in society that is in relation to his contribution to the same. If a particular part of life is given undue importance, it becomes difficult to bring on a balance to the other sections of life as well. In seeking out a balance, people should be willing to be flexible to change and to demands that life has placed on each other.

An unhealthy person cannot nurture himself and others around him at any time. The right approach should be to keep the body and mind well nurtured and well maintained at all times. This means taking in more than just good nutrition alone and the management of the systems as a whole.

One of the ways people can provide a healthy body is by sticking to practices that are healthy so to speak. Here exercise plays a strong role in defining a good and healthy person. Rather than recover from an infirmity, it is more advisable to try not to fall sick at any time.

It is not possible for people to accomplish more than one single action and it is not possible to involve oneself in more than a single activity alone. There are certain things in life that need to be done at the right time and at the right place. It is things like these that tend to define how people tend to maintain relationships with each other and with one another.

When the priorities in life are just right, then it follows that people are more in sync with nature and with each other. For instance, a student should aim at finishing his course and start earning while in college and not think of marriage at this point. Loss of focus can lead to severe disruptions at most times of life.

Think Efficiently

One of the simple ways people tend to waste time and energy is in thinking or analyzing too much at an instance. There is no harm in planning out things into the future but to take it to such levels as to be taken in too much with the planning is asking for trouble. Even the best-laid plans and the surest shot plans need to have backups to call in case of any need.

Simple Tips to Balance a Good general Health

What do you mean by general health? Many people have been asking me this question since I started practicing medicine. Actually, it is tough to explain the terminology. I can say it is being free from infections, diseases and disorders (only those which are acquired and not inherited), pain, malfunctioned organs, etc. It could also mean the ability to perform your everyday activities from going to the toilet to eating your food and going to work without any problems. Well, it could include many more things from making love to your partner and going to sleep on time. So, how do you balance your general health?

Everyday Health

Water – Lifeline

How much and how often do you drink water every day? I would suggest you to start the day with one liter of room temperature water after brushing your teeth. It is the best way I have seen for making your bowel movements easy and fast. Your stomach clears completely. Water can also eliminate the stress accumulated in your joints, muscles, and ligaments, as well as internal organs.

My personal experience says you can drink 6 top 7 liters of water every day. You don’t have to gulp them all in single shot (remember your beer drinking competition?). You can sip on water slowly from day to night. It is a great fat burner. I have lost 20 kilos of weight within three months. You may also choose to add one or two pieces lemon /lime to water during the day. Avoid adding lime to water as you may have to wake up frequently to urinate.

Fruit Juices – Detox

Pomegranate and watermelon are the two main fruit juices that I suggest. It is because they are highly antioxidant. They can eliminate almost all the toxic elements from your liver, intestine, kidneys, and the muscles all over your body. I will tell you another secret about the fruit you should prefer for fat loss. No, it isn’t apple. It is guava. Guava juice early in the morning can relieve the hangover feelings which are very difficult to overcome. You may need two or three cups of the juice on empty stomach in the morning.

Salads – Energizers

Now, you have to start eating raw veggies in the form of salads. You may add cucumber, tomato, onion, and beet. Slice them all and use a plate to arrange. Garnish with lemon juice, sliced mint leaves, pepper powder, and sliced garlic pieces.

You may also boil and fry Solomon fish to add as base elements. Make sure you fry them using olive oil or coconut oil. It is for the simple reason that both are fat burning.

Lean Meat – Vitalizing

Lean meat from lamb, beef, and pork can be highly useful for fat burning. You may try them with frying over the pan and adding to the salad. You may also add spices like pepper, garlic, ginger, and others. The recommended method is to boil rather than fry.
